With the strong rise of domestic cars, "Chinese cars" going to sea has become a new wave of China's automobile industry in the past two years. Data show that in 2021, China's automobile exports reached 2.015 million units, up 101% year on year, ranking second only to Japan's 3.82 million units and Germany's 2.3 million units, surpassing South Korea to rank third.
In January to August this year, China has exported 1.91 million vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 47.5%, which has surpassed Germany to become the world's second largest automobile exporter, second only to Japan.
Since this year, China's automobile export has grown rapidly. In November, China's automobile export reached 370,000 units, with a year-on-year growth of 70.51%, hitting a record high.
According to CCTV Finance, the export data of electric manned vehicles in Shanghai was relatively impressive, and in the first 10 months of this year, the Shanghai port exported 1.122 million vehicles, up 46.8 percent year on year. Among them, 417,000 electric manned vehicles were exported, up 92.5 percent year on year.
At the country's largest ro-on terminal, more than 2,600 domestic brands have lined up to follow the nearby roll-on ship to the world.
According to Lin Feng, a single ship instructor at Shanghai Haitong International Automobile Terminal, the vehicles are mainly sent to Europe, the Mediterranean Sea and Oceania plates, and the main destination ports are Zebrughe, Bristol, Koppel, Kembla and Melbourne.
In 2022, up to now, the export of foreign trade vehicles is 1.3 million, and compared with previous years, the proportion of export vehicles has increased by nearly 60%, among which, new energy models account for about 40% of the total export volume.
According to the statistics of Shanghai Customs, in the first 10 months of this year, Shanghai port exported 1.122 million vehicles, with the value of 150.18 billion yuan, up 46.8% and 71.6% year-on-year, respectively. Among them, the export report of electric manned vehicles is more bright, the export of 417,000 units, the value of 86.2 billion yuan, year-on-year growth of 92.5% and 115.5% respectively.
